Anna Vikmane, Director at BETER Live, and Yana Stukova, Head of Key Accounts, discuss the company’s new partnership with Parimatch and how this collaboration will help deliver “a true next-gen gaming experience”.

Anna Vikmane, Director of BETER Live

CB: Congratulations on BETER Live’s first operator deal! Anna, can you talk us through your plans with Parimatch and what can players expect?

AV: Thank you. As you may have seen from our launch before Christmas, we now have a brand-new BETER Live product that players can experience, within which they can expect an unrivalled professional, secure, and rewarding gaming experience that offers some of the best entertainment around.

We’ve assembled a team of some of the leading experts from both within and outside of the igaming industry, which we are so proud of. Of course, partnering with such a well known and fantastic brand such as Parimatch is a great affirmation of what we do, and we couldn’t wish for a better partner to work alongside.

Looking to the future, this is very much the first step in our journey with Parimatch, and we have  plenty of exciting and innovative products in our roadmap that our upcoming partners and customers will love.

We are really delighted to start showcasing what we can do, and given what we have on offer, which can now be put in the hands of Parimatch’s customers to engage with and enjoy – I’m certain they will be delighted.

CB: Tell us about BETER Live’s philosophy – what can your future clients expect when they team up with your studio?

AV: BETER Live has been founded on the premise of providing our partners and customers with a true next-gen gaming experience. Therefore our philosophy is all about providing what’s best for our clients. Throughout our organisation, we have years of hands-on expertise which we have called upon to create a product which is not only great for the players, but also for our customers – from a technical, integration and account management point of view.

YS: We focus on the expertise of our team members at every level – for us, it’s all about the perfect combination of talent. Our team is truly international, with individuals from Latvia, Ukraine, the United Kingdom and many more. I believe having such a great combination of people has helped us create a unique product, unique ideas and a truly unique studio experience.

The BETER Live team really embodies a positive mindset and Anna’s leadership is a great example of this; she inspires us to approach obstacles as a positive challenge to overcome. I’m really proud of our team and think we’re going in a great direction.

CB: With BETER Live’s client team up and running, what are BETER Live’s plans for making a difference when it comes to servicing the likes of Parimatch?

YS: This enables us to provide 24/7 support for our clients, maintaining very high standards and helping our customers to feel supported.

Flexibility is key for us. We have such an amazing team which means we can do everything – spanning anything from opening a studio in just over a month to adjusting to all our customer needs to provide technical support 24/7.

We can always approach what we do with our partners knowing that we can do it better. Studios and production are what really deliver value and entertainment to operator partners, which is how we will continue to make a difference.

CB: Anna, looking at BETER Live’s first selection of games, what stands out for you in terms of player preferences? How has your development team aimed to make sure that BETER Live’s games offer a true entertainment-first experience?

AV: The next era of live casino is all about giving control back to the players – our clients and their customers want to feel as if it’s their game, not ours. As a result, we want them to enjoy the unique and personalised product that we provide, which really is one of the best of the best. Moreover, we want to offer a product where players feel right at home.

Of course we want to offer a player an experience that feels comfortable, but at the same time, we want to have innovative and unique features that can offer something unique and make a difference. These game features will find themselves in the players’ hands very soon, so watch this space!

Yana Stukova, Head of Key Accounts

CB: Yana, given your extensive experience with both Evoplay and now Parimatch, how would you describe your approach to client management? What is key for servicing clients in the live casino sector at a time when the vertical is developing so fast?

YS: For us, the key rule regarding client management is to maintain a client-orientated approach – it’s all about thinking about our partners’ needs and being proactive in the way we manage this process.

We firmly believe it’s all about partners rather than clients, because we’re building relationships that people want to invest their time into, and for that to happen we all need to work together.

We’re at a time in the industry where many live casino providers are offering a similar product, therefore the crucial key to success is to make sure you offer something that has real added value. This comes from building personal relationships with our partners, twinned with bringing revenue and success, which in my eyes – is a winning combination.

CB: Looking ahead to the rest of the year – talk us through BETER Live’s plans, what can the gaming industry look forward to?

AV: This year, I’m most excited about the launch of our dedicated tables and studios. We will be growing rapidly as a company and in terms of our already exponential growth. Our goal is to be synonymous with quality, enjoyment and excitement.

Having worked my way up in the industry, I want to bring that unique experience to BETER Live and really showcase what’s available with a tier-one entertainment product. The gaming industry can look forward to the best of the best – a responsible, sustainable product that is entertaining and exciting – continuously putting quality and client-focused advancements first.

When it comes to games in our roadmap, we have four core games already live. Our focus will be on the details that power the player journey to be easy and comfortable to play, because details matter. So much so, that I believe product personalisation is key to delivering a top-notch tailored experience for our players – it’s what they’re looking for!

BETER Live has sought to enrich its live operator content with the launch of a new bonus engine that includes two new features.

The Bet & Get offering has been designed to enhance player engagement, awarding a bonus to any customer who places a bet.

Anna Vikmane, Director at BETER Live, said: “At BETER Live, we work hard to continually bring products and experiences to market that enhance gameplay without interrupting it, and with our bonus engine featuring Bet & Get alongside Tournaments we have done just that.

“The flexibility built into each product means that operators can customise our new features to meet the specific needs of their players and deliver experiences that hit the mark.

“They can be incredibly granular with the bonus offered, segmenting players into different categories and targeting them with dedicated promotions and tournaments. This is unique in the live space and is why BETER Live is in such high demand.”

In addition, the live casino provider has rolled out its tournaments feature aimed at increasing bettors’ retention as well.

Edvardas Sadovskis, Chief Product Officer at BETER Live, added: “We have developed an in-house promotional engine that allows us to build any kind of promotional tools on our platform. Bet & Get and Tournaments were highly sought-after features by our partners, and they were the first to be implemented, but certainly not the last.

“Our partners are pleased that all promotional features are fully automated, from pop-up messages to final prize payouts and congratulations messages.

“We spend a lot of resources to ensure that we are following the entire user journey, addressing every edge case in a seamless way, and allowing players to enjoy gameplay without any interruptions. Bet & Get and Tournaments bring another level of engagement and fun to our live games, further setting them apart from others in the market.“I am very excited and proud of the entire BETER Live team for enhancing our product significantly with the Bet & Get and Tournament features.”

The live casino segment is one that certainly seems to progress on a path of additional strength with each passing month, as more and more organisations target the space on a global scale in a bid to add further success to its operations.

Midway through the past year, Edvardas Sadovskis, CPO at BETER Live, spoke of taking the division, which forms one of three at BETER alongside sports and esports, to new heights through a series of overhauls and expansion strategies.

In our latest conversation, he discusses the importance of offering dedicated tables and studios, where we can expect expansion to come through the current year and what attendees can expect from this week’s London extravaganza.

CasinoBeats: You are attending the upcoming ICE 2024, how different is BETER Live since the last exhibition?

Edvardas Sadovskis: Since the last exhibition, BETER Live has experienced a significant transformation. We’ve strategically established a new studio in Romania, emphasising our dedication to operational excellence and a targeted approach to that market.

The unveiling of our innovative promotional engine, featuring two fully automated features: ‘Bet & Get’ Bonus and ‘Tournaments’ leaderboards, demonstrates our commitment to enhancing user journeys and setting new standards for customer engagement.

In addition to the Gravity Series, our introduction of Gravity Roulette and Gravity Sic Bo showcases our dedication to infusing classic casino games with dynamic multipliers, providing players with an exhilarating experience.

Speaking about our newest product vertical – the exploration of virtual RNG-based games further underlines our commitment to staying at the forefront of technological advancements and catering to the diverse preferences of our global audience.

Furthermore, we are proud to announce the successful development of a social casino solution tailored for the US market.

This strategic move has resulted in successful partnerships with some of the biggest brands in the US, solidifying our position as a trusted and innovative partner in the gaming industry.

CB: BETER Live also offers dedicated tables and studios for its partners. Why is it important to expand this area?

ES: Our offer in dedicated tables and studios is driven by our industry expertise, providing a strategic advantage for both BETER Live and our partners.

This project lowers player acquisition costs, enhances player retention and engagement, allows for product-specific localisation, and comes with dedicated marketing support. It offers a wide range of customisation options, fostering a collaborative and mutually beneficial relationship.

CB: Could you give us an overview of some of the projects planned for 2024?

ES: In 2024, BETER Live has an exciting lineup of projects that align with our commitment to innovation and global expansion.

Firstly, with our high-tech promotional engine, we’re set to introduce a third promotional tool, enhancing our ability to offer a more personalised and engaging experience for users.

One of the highlights of the year will be the launch of new games that will bring a unique proposition to the market, featuring dynamic multipliers.

These games are designed to provide players with a fresh and exhilarating gaming experience, setting them apart in the industry.

Towards the end of the year, our focus will shift towards the development of a new game show, reflecting our dedication to pushing the boundaries of entertainment, and creating novel and immersive experiences for our audience.

In terms of market expansion, BETER Live has ambitious plans to broaden its presence in key regions. We will be focusing on strategic growth in Europe, Asia, and LatAm, aiming to establish strong footholds in these markets, and cater to the diverse gaming preferences of players worldwide.

BETER Live is expanding the reach of its content portfolio through a distribution partnership with developer and aggregator REEVO.

Through the agreement, REEVO will make BETER Live’s casino games available to its operating partners globally.

Operators will have access to the provider’s portfolio of content including table games like blackjack and roulette, as well as its Gravity Series, which adds multipliers to games such as roulette, blackjack, and Sic Bo.

Anna Vikmane, Director of BETER Live, commented: “This is the start of what will be a long and successful collaboration with REEVO. Both companies share a mission to deliver the most entertaining content to players and our portfolio of live titles is proven to do just that.

“Not only can REEVO’s operator partners offer their players quality live table games such as roulette, blackjack and baccarat, but they can also unleash our thrilling Gravity Series of games on players for the first time. This takes the gameplay to the next level, boosting enjoyment, time spent on the game and ultimately revenues for operators.”

BETER Live’s titles offer localisation and personalisation and are broadcasted from the live casino provider’s state-of-the-art studios with the latest technology.

Meanwhile, the deal brings additional content to REEVO’s live casino aggregator offering, which includes content from leading suppliers, alongside a list of proprietary games with two launches per month, all through a single API integration.

Petra Maria Poola, Head of Sales at REEVO, added: “BETER Live has made a significant impact in the realm of live content, blending excellence and creativity to provide novel player experiences.

“This addition greatly enhances our offering, and we eagerly anticipate a close collaboration with the BETER Live team in the upcoming months.”

BETER has strengthened the portfolio of its live casino division with the addition of Ukrainian Roulette.

The new game from BETER Live will be hosted by Ukrainian-speaking presenters, with the game table also lit up in the colours of the Ukraine flag.

Anna Vikmane, BETER Live Director, said:  “We are delighted to be offering our client’s players a new variation of roulette with a Ukrainian-speaking game presenter.

“What’s important for us is not only keeping pace with the latest trends in the igaming industry, but also listening to the audience and understanding what products are most relevant to them.

“I am confident that with our professional game presenters and elegant design with traditional elements, we can continue to provide players with content they can associate themselves with.”

BETER Live explained that when developing the game, it identified a gap in the market for roulette products that featured Ukrainian dealers.

Ukrainian Roulette will be hosted in a “cinematic” style at BETER Live’s main studio which the company believes will showcase the game’s “elegant style and intricate design”.

Gal Ehrlich, CEO of BETER, added: “As a B2B provider, BETER ensures that the content provided to our operator partners is the most relevant and in demand among end-users.

“One of several directions in which BETER Live is heading is a move towards providing tailor-made, custom content. Therefore, we are delighted to be able to offer such unique content for the many Ukrainian-speaking players who have waited so long for a version of roulette made just for them.”

The last six months have been busy for BETER, and the second half of the year is going to be jam packed for the company – particularly the BETER Live division.

Edvardas Sadovskis, Chief Product Officer at BETER Live, is responsible for overseeing the company’s product roadmap so that it meets and exceeds operator and player expectations.

He spoke to CasinoBeats about what his team has focused on during his first few months, why the company is overhauling its UX and UI, and reveals some of BETER Live’s expansion plans.

CasinoBeats: It’s been about three months since you were appointed CPO at BETER Live. What has your team achieved during that time?

ES: My first quarter saw our team of skilled professionals focus on refining our product strategy. We did this by conducting an analysis of market trends and the needs of our business partners.

As a result of all this research, we’ve introduced a more end-user-centric approach so that we can offer our clients an optimised and improved product.

I’m very keen on encouraging our whole team to come up with innovative ideas and initiatives, and that has fostered a culture of creativity and collaboration. This has meant we’ve devised several ground-breaking product concepts that are currently in development, which we’re all very excited by.

CasinoBeats: It’s clear that BETER Live is continuously expanding its portfolio. What’s next?

ES: BETER Live has been providing market-leading services for more than two years and we already have a strong position in the industry, thanks to our wide portfolio of classic casino games and the concept of Gravity games with multipliers.

We also have many ideas for new games, as well as plans to introduce new features for our end users and business partners. So there’s always a lot going on behind the scenes at the company.

Our future focus will be on developing innovative products that provide exceptional value to our customers. We will be exploring new market opportunities and leveraging emerging technologies to enhance our product offering.

Ultimately, our goal is to provide the best possible user experience, exceed our partners’ expectations and ensure that our products remain competitive in the market.

CasinoBeats: What new releases can BETER Live players expect to see in the near future?

ES: We’re currently conducting a huge optimisation of our user interface and also undertaking a significant redesign project, as part of our ongoing commitment to improving our user experience.

There are several reasons why we want to improve the UI. We’re aiming to make the navigation more intuitive, as well as streamline workflows, enhance our visual appeal, ensure responsiveness across devices and establish consistency.

These optimisations will mean players have a more enjoyable and efficient user experience, ultimately increasing user satisfaction and productivity.

Another important new feature that’s being created for our users, those both loyal and new, will be based on a promotional engine that we’re developing in-house at the moment.

This promotional engine will allow us to build many different kinds of bonuses and features that will improve the user experience and increase satisfaction levels for those who play our high-quality games.

CasinoBeats: SiGMA Asia is just around the corner. What does the BETER Live team plan to present at the show?

ES: We launched our Gravity Roulette game show with multipliers at the start of the year, which has proven to be a huge success. We also have Gravity Blackjack, with multipliers on the popular side bets.

We have plans to expand our Gravity family and will soon launch Gravity Sic Bo, which is a game that will have up to 36 multipliers in one round, from x5 up to x1000.

This game will be a perfect fit for us to present at SiGMA Asia, an event that attracts many big industry players from the region, where this game is so popular. We’re looking forward to showing even more people all the exciting things that BETER Live has to offer.

With comings and goings commonplace across the industry, Soft2Bet, Aristocrat Leisure and BETER are among those to have bolstered their teams with key hires.

Soft2Bet

Soft2Bet has appointed Damian Finan as Director of VIP and Sales, bringing in over 15 years of gaming experience.

Finan’s previous roles include VIP Management with PokerStars and leading Genesis Global’s VIP department.

He is tasked with building upon Soft2Bet’s growth and producing a VIP and Sales strategy to elevate the company’s status.

Finan remarked: “I’m pleased to be given this opportunity to step into a leading role in a company as dynamic and forward-thinking as Soft2Bet. It’s an exciting time for the company and I am equally excited to help push it to the next level.”

Aristocrat Leisure

Aristocrat Leisure has added Jennifer Aument to its board as a Non-Executive Director, citing international industry experience.

Aument brings over 25 years of experience in the development, delivery and operations of major infrastructure assets to Aristocrat.

She also has experience in both Australian and US publicly traded companies, having most recently served as Chief Executive of consulting firm AECOM.

Aristocrat Chairman, Neil Chatfield, said: “I am delighted that Jennifer has agreed to join the Aristocrat board. Jennifer has a particular understanding of US and Australian environments, the complexities of supply chains and the delivery of major projects, and is a thought leader in the use of consumer digital technology. Jennifer also brings strong government relations and public affairs capabilities.

“Jennifer is an impressive, people-oriented business leader, with a track record of active community engagement. I am pleased to welcome Jennifer to Aristocrat and look forward to her contribution to our ongoing success.”

Marker Trax

Marker Trax has hired Val Apoderado as Vice President of IT Operations and Engineering.

Joining in February, Apoderado will be tasked with planning and executing all technical operations and quality assurance initiatives. He will also advise on all processes, systems, and data issues alongside the ongoing product performance and enhancement.

Marker Trax President, Charlie Skinner, stated: “The crux of our success is managing and tracking customers’ credit activities, and having robust, secure, and regulatory-compliant systems in place to manage that data is of paramount importance.

“With Val leading these focused efforts, we’re taking another step forward in our industry-leading position in the cashless credit gaming sector.”

BETER

BETER Live has named Edvardas Sadovskis as Chief Product Officer.

With more than a decade of experience, Sadovskis joins BETER Live from BetGames, where he rose from Studio Coordinator to Head of Product for Betgames & Showgames over ten years, working across various teams from studio to customer service, business development and product.

As Chief Product Officer, Sadovskis will oversee the product roadmap, manage product teams and ensure live content meets and exceeds operator and player expectations.

Anna Vikmane, Director at BETER Live, said: “I am delighted to welcome Edvardas to the team and for him to take charge of our product teams and roadmaps. Given his extensive knowledge and passion for sports and games of chance, Edvardas is an ideal fit not only for the Live Casino business unit but also for the whole BETER company.

“I have no doubt that his expertise will lead to the development of exciting new products in the near future.”

GeoComply

GeoComply has appointed cybercrime expert and former US Secret Service Special Agent Michael Dawson as a Law Enforcement Liaison.

Joining GeoComply’s Risk Services team, Dawson previously spent over 23 years with the Secret Service, becoming a leading investigator of cybercrime, fraud, and money laundering related to cryptocurrencies.

“While automating fraud alerts is a big part of what we do to protect our customers, we have found that machines still don’t learn as fast as fraud evolves,” said GeoComply’s Director of Risk Services, Danny DiRienzo.

“Our fraud-fighting capabilities are therefore rooted in a blend of human analysis meshed with the very best that data science can provide.”

Dawson commented: “This feels like such a good fit for me because it allows me to continue the fight against fraud using GeoComply’s cutting-edge technology. Geolocation is such an effective tool. If more of the banks and platforms I helped had used GeoComply, it would have made investigations a lot simpler and the life of the criminals a lot harder.”

BETER Live has announced the launch of two studios in Romania, with each studio set to host live casino games tailored to specific regions and markets.

Described as ‘state of the art’ studios, BETER Live is opening one studio to offer games for the European market, while giving the other studio an Indian-focus to host traditional Asian games.

Anna Vikmane, Director at BETER Live, stated: “I’m proud of our teams’ achievements and our business growth which allowed us to already open a second studio in a completely new location during the first year of operations.

“These are only the first steps, and we have no intention of slowing down regarding our expansion into new locations. We also pay special attention to dedicated tables and studios that meet our partners’ requirements.”

BETER Live’s new studios are said to ensure that customers can find table games that ‘best suit their tastes’, offering a mix of classic tables with a ‘cinematic atmosphere’ and darker LED-lit tables to target a younger generation with a more modern design.

The company’s European studio offers a ‘classic design’ while implementing a ‘modern approach’ with floral patterns and a tropical theme, aiming to provide players with a comfortable and relaxing experience.

Meanwhile, when creating the Indian-style studio, BETER consulted with local designers to ‘reflect the Eastern regions cultural traditions’.

Explaining that the new studios reflect the evolution of the brand, Gal Ehrlich, CEO of BETER, added: We’re constantly on the hunt for new opportunities to offer our customers the best experience possible and to bring them a superior-quality product that will not only dazzle with its stylish design, but also impress with its technical capabilities.”

Bringing over a decade of igaming experience to the role, Sadovskis has been tasked with overseeing the supplier’s product roadmap and managing its different product teams, while ensuring that BETER Live’s content exceeds both operator and player expectations.

Commenting on the appointment, Anna Vikmane, Director at BETER Live, said: “I am delighted to welcome Edvardas to the team and for him to take charge of our product teams and roadmaps.

“Given his extensive knowledge and passion for sports and games of chance, Edvardas is an ideal fit not only for the live casino business unit, but also for the whole BETER company.

“I have no doubt that his expertise will lead to the development of exciting new products in the near future.

“BETER Live is riding an incredible growth trajectory and with Edvardas onboard as CPO, we will continue to go from strength to strength when it comes to the quality of the product that we provide to our partners but most importantly, to their players.”

Beter Live’s inbound CPO joins the company after a decade-long stint with BetGames, at which he climbed the ranks from Studio Coordinator to Head of Product for the BetGames and ShowGames brands.

Edvardas Sadovskis, Chief Product Officer at BETER Live, added: “I’m excited to collaborate with the amazing team of professionals at BETER Live and utilise my skills and experience to contribute towards the company’s success.

“I recognize the value of teamwork, therefore I plan to work closely with the tech, product and commercial teams to further develop the company’s offering and the live casino sector in general.

“I am committed to delivering up-to-date products for our partners by ensuring their live content needs and requirements are met as we work together to drive success.

“This includes expanding the games and features in the BETER Live portfolio and pushing boundaries to bring new innovations to the market, ensuring that we stay ahead of the competition.”
