Online affiliate and content marketing company Raketech has made its third acquisition since the start of 2018, buying a majority 51 per cent stake in PPC and SEO specialist Shogun Media.

The Shogun Media founders are hailed as boasting a track record for building high-quality web-traffic products for the online gaming industry.

Raketech CEO Michael Holmberg said: “With the acquisition of Shogun Media, we gain more experienced entrepreneurs and this is vital for our growth journey.

“Not only do we obtain a good synergy for how we build services in new markets, we also gain valuable and supplemental expertise within PPC. This is an important building block to further strengthen Raketech ahead of Swedish regulation, where we are well-positioned both in terms of our partners and revenues for when it comes into force in 2019.”

Fredrik Johansson, Shogun Media founder, said: “We are looking forward to becoming part of the Raketech family and working together to deliver the best sports and gaming services to users and igaming operators in a global market.

Fantasma Games has praised a “fantastic start” to the year after posting another set of strong financial results for Q2.

The games studio is aiming for an “equally successful” second half of the year, after a Q2 that witnessed the company acquire Wiener Studios and go live in multiple US states.

With net sales seeing a 396 per cent year-on-year uptick to SEK 7.5m (£610,582) from SEK 1.5m, Fantasma reports that as the quarter came to a close, gaming revenue sat at SEK 6.3m (£513,153), a 314 per cent increase from SEK 1.5m.

These figures have allowed Fantasma to see EBITDA of SEK 1.1m, a significant increase on Q1’s loss of SEK 1m, bringing the studio into profitability for the second quarter while simultaneously taking the first half of the year’s figure to SEK 600,000.

Last year’s acquisition of Wiener Games is also said to have significantly contributed to the Q2 results, with the subsidiary accounting for SEK 2.1m (£171,079) of Q2 turnover.

“What a quarter it has been” stated Fredrik Johansson, CEO of Fantasma Games.

“We have driven growth across all KPIs which is a testament to the popularity and performance of our games in regulated markets around the world.

“This growth has come from continuing to deliver slots that take the experience to the next level, but also through entering new markets and signing exclusivity agreements with power players in our core jurisdictions.

“This is a fantastic start to a year that has great potential, and I and the rest of the team look forward to an equally successful six months ahead.”

It has been a busy quarter for the studio as they delved into the US market with casino operator BetMGM. This deal saw the firm’s slot titles Bounty Showdown and Wins of Nautilus Megaways become available to players in West Virginia, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

Furthermore, Fantasma strengthened its position in the UK, releasing exclusive titles such as Cloud Corsairs across Flutter Entertainment’s tier one platforms which include Paddy Power, Sky Bet and Betfair.

Innovation – a ‘buzzword’ that surrounds the igaming industry, which could be accused of being overused.

However, the importance of the word should not be underestimated as it continues to raise the bar and move the industry forward – whether it is obvious to the naked eye or not.

In this new roundtable series, we’ll hear from industry experts on all things innovation, with the first article focusing on where the most innovation is currently coming from.

Within the gaming sector, where do you see the most innovation? Alternatively, which areas do you believe are behind the curve when it comes to innovative technologies, and why might this be the case?

Jo Purvis, Blueprint Gaming: When you look at how the slots sector has evolved, the true innovation that disrupts the sector is ultimately driven by the mechanics and how they change the gameplay.

We’ve gone from the classic style slot of three paylines, all the way through to over a million ways of winning during one single spin. That’s largely been thanks to Megaways and how the mechanic shifted the mindset as to how paylines can alter with every spin.

Innovation can also come in the form of new bonus rounds and modifiers. Blueprint Gaming was ahead of the curve when we first introduced online games packed with multiple features for players to experience. We continue to build on this and explore new ways to evolve the core essence of a slot.

Joey Hurtado, Wizard Games: Innovation is coming in all shapes and sizes across the sector. Over the last few years, we’ve seen a lot of movement in the live casino sector, with game show-style content becoming more creative and pushing its appeal to more non-traditional live dealer players. Slots have continued to push on with more iterations of traditional mechanics as well as new and imaginative plays on ways games.

Innovation has to serve a purpose and improve the player experience. Innovation for innovation’s sake is often counterproductive, and it’s important to understand what the players want and what they are doing.

For that reason, I believe some of the moves we’ve seen towards VR and AR solutions haven’t always delivered as they force the player to give all their attention to the games they’re playing. This removes their ability to multitask whilst playing, perhaps watching TV or other leisure activities that they combine with gaming.

I think gamifying the player experience is something the industry is behind on. There have been attempts from operators, studios and dedicated third parties to improve this but adoption hasn’t been great. There is still a lot of scope to improve here and we can expect to see some interesting innovations in the near future.

Fredrik Johansson, Fantasma Games: I believe that we have seen a lot of innovation within the slots space and especially with the introduction of new mechanics from various studios. This is evidenced by the number of trademarked mechanics that are now in the market.

Megaways is the one that changed the game and that often comes to mind first, but there are loads more including Infinity Reels, XNudge and our very own Titanways, of course.

We have also seen great progress in terms of game design and the emergence of narrative-driven slots that deliver a more engaging and entertaining player experience. When this is combined with innovative mechanics and never seen before features, the result is games that deliver so much more value than a traditional 5×3 reel slot and that appeal to a much broader audience.

Shalva Bukia, Spribe: I think igaming is getting back to basics of casino play: socialisation. If we look at traditional casinos, especially in the early years, it was a place where people met and had fun together.

Roulette, card games are social by definition. Slot games are a bit different: it’s about singular entertainment, it’s the player enjoying different worlds and imaginations of slot games.

With the introduction of fast internet speeds live casino games became instantly popular and it was back to the basics – the joy of social play. In this regard, in my opinion, the biggest innovation was game shows by Evolution. Its popularity shows that people prefer social entertainment and interaction. We see the same in our products, Aviator’s live bets and chat are key features of the game.

David Mann, Swintt: The gaming sector is ultra-competitive and everyone is trying to find the next breakthrough innovation, mechanic, feature, etc. But finding true innovation is difficult – it is resource-heavy, expensive and ultimately there is no guarantee of success.

I would say the shift to mobile has resulted in tremendous progress with operators and studios forced to fine-tune the player experience to ensure that it is just as engaging and entertaining as when playing from desktop.

When you look at some of the latest games and especially live dealer content (including SwinttLive) to hit the market, it’s clear just how far we have come in a short space of time.

The desire to be at the cutting-edge is pushing a lot of developers to try new things and this ultimately will lead to some hitting on the next revolutionary mechanic. I’d say the greatest room for this exists within how players play and by adding additional layers of entertainment that take the experience beyond the RNG base level.

I also think we lag behind other entertainment options when it comes to how we serve content to consumers. When you look at the levels of personalisation offered by Netflix and compare it with your average online casino lobby, we still have a long way to go.

Simon Hammon, Relax Gaming: As a casino-focused product-veteran, naturally my attention is more focused in this area of the gaming sector. In the wake of increased competition within the landscape, there are certainly more interesting, innovative and diverse mechanics being brought to market – especially by younger and newer suppliers.

To stand out in this crowded market, you need to innovate and provide something new to capture players’ attention and ensure retention.

Jackpots are a key area that has been relatively under-served and with that comes a lack of innovation. Relax Gaming’s Dream Drop Jackpots has been launched with a mission to break the mould here and provide fresh thinking in the marketplace.

There are several reasons why, on the whole, innovation and technology might not be perceived to be low in areas and this is likely down to market dominance of a few without need or desire to change. With the advent of high competition levels, fresh thinking is bringing in needed updates and change.

Indeed, the approach to regulated markets and the custom integration challenges required is another major area to solve, and although it is not visible to the player, it has not evolved with the times and its importance cannot be understated.

In line with that, our Relax Apex system launched last year aims to remove a lot of these nuances and headaches, which means it can work perfectly in tandem with our newly launched Dream Drop.

Lahcene Merzoug, PressEnter Group: I think the industry often considers innovation to be a breakthrough mechanic or feature, or perhaps an entirely new gamification model or bonus system that changes the game. But innovation is often the result of progressive iteration and in that regard, there is plenty of room to keep pushing the boundaries.

From the operator perspective, there is scope to do more to improve the player journey and that is where we focus a great deal of our attention and resources.

An area of particular interest is payments, and PressEnter Group will continue to fine-tune deposit and withdrawal flows and augment the technologies and services that support them. We are taking the same approach to KYC to firstly ensure a smooth and seamless process for our players but to also ensure that we are verifying players accurately.

These are not necessarily headline-grabbing updates, but ultimately, they are what leads to the superior player experience we have built our reputation on.

Phil Lamb, Betsson Group: I believe we have seen quite a lot of innovation when it comes to applying various gamification features to online casinos over the years. When many online casinos offer the same games from the same game suppliers, it’s a good way to be able to stand out from the crowd and create more exciting and engaging player journeys.

However, applying such innovative gamification features has become more and more challenging for operators in recent years, and can also bring with it some inherent risk. For example, you could invest a lot of development resources and time creating amazing gamification journeys, and then overnight some new regulation comes in and suddenly a lot of the features that have been created are no longer compliant or able to operate under these new regulatory conditions. This can be a massive hindrance and risk from a commercial perspective.

This is certainly the case when operating in multiple markets, with some of these established markets now reaching a state of maturity and then seeing more and more local regulations being applied, which must always be adhered to.

Likewise, the focus on responsible gambling and player protection is understandably as strong as it has ever been and with more responsibility in these areas sitting with operators.

As much as it is good to try to constantly stay ahead of the curve in terms of innovative technologies, there also needs to be a good balance that considers and respects local regulatory compliance requirements but that still leads to higher user engagement and, most importantly, in a responsible way.

Founder and current Chief Commercial Officer of game developer Fantasma Games, Fredrik Johansson, has returned to the role of CEO.

Through the backing of the company’s largest shareholders, Johansson returns to the role with support and belief that he is the best person to guide the game developer forward.

The firm is targeting ‘significant growth’ in the following months, particularly into new markets, whilst signing partnerships with more operators and overseeing the game and production line.

Within his role, Johansson is responsible for day-to-day running of Fantasma Games operations by leading the senior management team. Johansson is expected to map out the overall direction of the company, building new strategies that fall in line with the company’s ethos of ‘creating slots beyond gambling’.

He commented: “I am thrilled to return to the role of CEO of Fantasma Games and to have the support and trust of our largest shareholders when it comes to taking the studio into its next chapter.

“We have already achieved a great deal in a short space of time, and having just reported a record first quarter we have tremendous momentum behind us. It is an honour to be leading such an incredible team of people as we continue to strive to create the most entertaining slots in the market.”

The appointment comes after Fantasma Games has recently launched its slots and gaming products in the US market.

Making its debut in the US, Fantasma Games has gone live in states such as Michigan and West Virginia, working alongside BetMGM. Via its distribution partner Light and Wonder, Fantasma Games aims to expand its platform to additional states and operators in the future.

As a number of new gaming titles grace the CasinoBeats inbox, sit back and get to grips with a select few new slot games as we take a look at sequels from Fantasma Games and Black Pudding Games, Pariplay’s Rhino Meagway title, Habanero and its circus adventure, Kalamba Games’ “swashbuckling” adventure.

Fly! – Habanero

Habanero ventured high into the clouds in its latest slot title, Fly!, a 5×5, cascading slot which includes a free spins mode and Circus Free Games feature.

Within the base game, every 20 paid spins (excluding cascades) a balloon is collected. At least three ‘S’ balloon symbols will land once all eight balloons are collected which will trigger the free spins mode. The feature is guaranteed to trigger for every 160 paid spins.

As part of the free spins round, between 10 to 35 free spins are awarded when between three to six ‘S’ balloons appear anywhere on the grid. Additionally, 10 free spins are awarded for each additional ‘S’ symbol.

“We are delighted with how the theme has materialised, embracing the wonderful world of nostalgia and the magic of the circus in a way that celebrates their joyous nature,” explained Toni Karapetrov, head of corporate communications at Habanero.

“Fly! offers audiences one of the most up to date gaming experiences on the market, with stunning graphics and creative animations culminating to provide a feast for the eyes.”

Heroes Hunt 2 Megaways – Fantasma Games

Fantasma Games launched the sequel to its medieval slot series with Heroes Hunt 2 Megaways, a 6×6 video slot with up to 46,656 ways to win, and includes three unlockable heroes, an explosion feature, expanding wilds and respins.

During the game, two different free spins are available to help players on their quest – vampire free spins and werewolf free spins.

The archer shoots a respin feature where each respin symbol removes itself and four to nine random non-winning regular or blocker symbols. New symbols then fall to create win opportunities.

Furthermore, the witch conjures an explosion feature whereby all explosion symbols erupt and remove themselves. After the explosion, one random regular symbol is selected and is spawned at all of the exploded positions.

“Heroes Hunt is our most popular game launch of all time, so a lot of work has gone into Heroes Hunt 2 to ensure it takes the player experience to the next level,” commented Fredrik Johansson, commercial director at Fantasma Games.

“To do this, we spoke to operators, streamers, affiliates and players to learn how we could make the game even better and have then incorporated these improvements into the game. The result is a highly animated, narrative led game that delivers high levels of entertainment to players while also building big win anticipation with every spin.

“This really is an incredible slot and we can’t wait to see it land in operator game lobbies and for players to start their own adventure as they seek to defeat evil and find treasures of their own.”

Rumble Rhino Megaways – Pariplay

Trek across the savanna where players are on the lookout for the majestic rhino in Pariplay’s Rumble Rhino Megaways, a 6×2-7 slot which offers players up to 86,436-paylines.

Incorporating features such as mega symbols and free spins, players can also trigger a Rumbling Rhino stampede across the reels by landing a mystery mask which results in random symbols being converted into matching symbols for more winning combinations.

Furthermore, when a bonus symbol lands on reels one and six, it awards 12 free spins. For the possibility to rack up even more rumbling big wins, the free spins can be retriggered during the feature.

“Rumble Rhino Megaways offers exciting and fun gameplay with immersive features that will have players truly entertained as they hunt for big wins,” noted Joey Hurtado, managing director of games at Pariplay.

“Featuring the Megaways mechanic that offers 86,436 ways to win and is hugely popular with players around the globe, this title is a must have in all operator lobbies.”

Atomic Reactor – Black Pudding Games

Black Pudding Games commenced its ignition sequence as the slot developer released its second Orbital Reactor slot, Atomic Reactor

Launched exclusively with 1XBet, Atomic Reactor includes the company’s Orbital Reactor mechanic with chain reactions and a Multiplier Meter aiding players to wins.

The Orbital Reactor Engine comes into play when players match three or more symbols on any adjacent positions on the Orbital Paypath to win and trigger a potentially unlimited chain reaction of further rewards, boosted by an escalating win multiplier.

Additionally, the slot comes with two bonus modes entitled Twin Win Fusion – which upgrades two three-of-a-kind wins to one six-of-a-kind – and a free spins mode.

“We are very excited to be finally powering up the Atomic Reactor for players,” noted Nathan Howes, commercial director at Black Pudding Games. “Black Pudding is getting noticed for doing different in these competitive markets – we are delighted to be shortlisted recently for two awards at the recent CasinoBeats Game Developer Awards – and we cannot wait to release more of the innovative gaming formats we’ve got in our skunk works.

“Atomic Reactor is pure Pudding, giving slot players something innovative yet intuitive. It’s also, by design, a pocket rocket for one-handed play on mobile devices, and we look forward to seeing it debut with 1XBet before going network wide shortly after that.”

Chris Loftus, head of content partnerships at 1X2 Network, added: “We are thrilled Atomic Reactor was developed on our RGS and that we have been able to distribute it exclusively to 1XBet and then network wide via our cutting-edge 3PI aggregation platform.

“Black Pudding offers exactly what we look for here at 1X2 Network, in that they offer something truly different and stand out to our portfolio. We know the Black Pudding content has some avid followers across our estate and we’re hugely excited about this latest upcoming release.”

El Vigilante – Kalamba Games

Venture forth into 19th century California in Kalamba Games’ “swashbuckling” slot, El Vigilante, a 5×3, 10-payline slot which includes K-Cash spins and the developers Hyper Spin feature.

Within the base game, if the player collects six or more K-Cash symbols, it triggers three K-Cash spins. Alternatively, if three or more bonus symbols land, the player is awarded eight free spins.

During the K-Cash spins, cash prizes are attached to K-Cash symbols – four levels of Cashpots or two bonus variants. Additionally, Cashpot prizes can be multiplied by sticky multipliers visible on the reels.

“With a proven theme and features that are loved by slot fans around the globe, our latest title is sure to become another hit,” said Alex Cohen, COO and co-founder of Kalamba Games.

“We continue to strengthen our games portfolio with cutting-edge content and we are thrilled with this latest addition to our offering.”

Following on from the first part of our CasinoBeats 100 Club look into ‘mobile-first’ slots, it was overwhelmingly clear that the industry has already made mobile its priority when it comes to the development of slot titles.

As Bob Dylan famously sang, ‘the times, they are changing’, and that’s a notion which – away from global issues – is reciprocated within the slot sector. While it was evident in our first question that mobile has been the focus for developers for the past five years, the last 12 months has seen the whole industry shift its focus towards the online sector, with a particularly heightened focus on mobile.

In the second part of this series, we have asked our members if developers should look even further into mobile, posing a question which some might see as obvious but believe that could hold more complications than meets the eye.

We asked: Given that the mobile-first approach is the overwhelming strategy for slot developers, how big of an appeal does one-handed play have on mobile slot gaming? Should one-handed play be prioritised over other forms?

Kickstarting our responses is Fredrik Johansson, commercial director at Fantasma Games, who emphasised that one-handed play is ‘absolutely key’ to providing the ‘best mobile casino experience’.

“This is why from day one we have focused on developing games in portrait and not landscape, as it is the only way to allow for one handed – and really one-thumb – play,” said Johansson.

“We actually believe portrait mode offers greater development opportunities than landscape with the ability to create games where players ‘level up’. For example, in Flower Fortunes Megaways we created an expanding 9×9 reel matrix that players climb as they progress through the game.

“This game was also designed with one-handed and one-thumb play in mind, which in turn has given it even broader appeal – and increased play time – among players as they can access the game wherever they are and whatever they are doing.

“While games made for landscape mode can only really be played when the player is sat down or at home, portrait mode games can be played while out and about and on the move. This means players can sneak in a few spins while walking home or standing in the queue at the checkout.”

Echoing the thoughts of Johansson, Spribe’s product director, Shalva Bukia, compared people’s use of mobile devices when taking photos and explained how portrait mode is the ‘dominant mode’

He continued: “Let’s start by considering this. When taking photos on your phone, how often do you hold the device in landscape mode? You don’t, do you. And the same applies for when playing mobile games or spinning the reels on slots from your smartphone.

“Portrait is the dominant mode used when engaged with a smartphone and ultimately that’s because it is easier to control with your thumb. Online slot developers must remember this when creating their latest games – here at Spribe, it has been a consideration from day one.

“Portrait mode opens up additional engagement opportunities and means players can access slots more than if the game was only available in landscape. Again, think how often you use your phone when out and about because you can do so in portrait mode with one hand.

“The challenge for developers, of course, is designing games that maximise the screen real estate available with portrait mode while ensuring the entire game can be controlled with the player’s thumb. It’s no easy task, but it is what keeps developers pushing the boundaries.”

Stuart McCarthy, head of product and programmes at Yggdrasil, claimed that the ‘next logical leap’ in regards to mobile is to ‘focus on UI that supports one-handed play’.

“In the times when we could move around freely and observe our fellow humans it was clear that this is how people interact with their devices,” McCarthy continued. “I haven’t yet seen studies that support this but my own eyes tell me this is the right direction.”

Meanwhile Helen Walton, COO at Glück Games, believes that most existing slots are already compatible with one-handed play.

She remarked: “What are you doing other than pressing a spin button with your thumb? Perhaps I’m not understanding the question, but slot gameplay is hardly like complex, immersive video gaming requiring speedy reactions as you swipe, attack and select.

“Other than very rare bonus games, on most occasions a player sets a bet level and presses spin. Should slot play be sufficiently engaging that more than one hand is occasionally necessary… that’s a different question.”

Given a more factual response, Ciara Nic Liam, commercial director – gaming at Betsson Group, revealed that in Q1 of this year, customers at Betsson playing their casino games on a mobile device accounted for 74 per cent of its revenue – up from 57 per cent the year before.

She continued: “There has been huge growth in mobile only customers and we now adopt a mobile-first approach to our UX design principles when designing customer journeys. In fact, with our recent launch of the Betsson Casino App in both the iOS and Google App stores, we will focus on this more than ever.

“When we look at video streaming websites, 82.5 per cent of customers are using the services in portrait mode, which shows a clear customer preference for one-handed use. Gone are the days of launching Desktop-Only Games, and when prioritising Games for our roadmap we put a big focus on the customer experience on mobile.

“While we believe that one-handed play is an important driver in customer comfort and playability of a game and should be a consideration in game design and build, it should not come at the cost of game features themselves.”

Swerving back to the debate of portrait versus landscape, Vera Motto, business development for LatAm at Habanero, claimed that ‘portrait is the new HTML5’.

She added: “From my experience in the industry, mobile is not the future – rather very much the present – and delivering a premium mobile UX should be the top priority of every supplier out there.

“Portrait mode is of course part of that, as this is how mobile audiences consume short-form content, whether it be Tik Tok or slots. Landscape, on the other hand, is only used for more ‘extreme’ situations for longer entertainment – whether that’s a film on the commute or watching football while riding in a taxi.

“Looking at adoption – gambling is already 80 per cent mobile, and that’s only going to increase. This is especially the case in markets like LatAm and Italy, where gaming is hugely social – and therefore something that should be held in one hand.

“This means designing the game from the ground up to be properly mobile first from a visual and technical perspective, so there has to be a serious way of delivering and rendering a game without losing any of its characteristics and quality.

“This is especially the case for acquiring the new generation of players, and just as we see with social content – that  expectation is now the norm, and not one that can be circumvented.”

This thought was also reciprocated by Habanero’s head of business development Europe Arcangelo Lonoce, who claimed that ‘we can no doubtedly say that portrait is essential’ having seen the data from various suppliers.

He concluded: “Having also worked on the customer side for many years, I can attest that the UX comes before anything else – and needs to sit on a par with the mathematics.

“As speed and ease of use are major factors on how a game operates, playing with one hand is of course easier, faster and more hassle free. As we offer portraits on all our games ourselves, we make it a big selling point, knowing that it resonates strongly with our operator partners.

“I do see some suppliers not offering portraits, and frankly I find this to be a real hindrance as everything one does with their phone is usually via portrait mode, so having to flip the phone to play a slot is simply a nuisance.

“That’s because first, you’re leaving your natural UX (by twisting your hand), and secondly, it’s a step out of the players’ comfort zone as the majority of any mobile games are already delivered via portrait as standard.”

Under the terms of the agreement, Fantasma Games’ full portfolio of ‘next generation’ slots, such as Elemento, Heroes Hunt Megaways and Maze Escape Megaways, will be available to QTech Games clients and their players.

QTech Games CCO, Ulf Norder, said: “We’re delighted to have teamed up with our long-standing friends at Fantasma Games, whose visually stunning and varied games always deliver.

“Our modus operandi is to continue adding premium content to QTech’s premier platform, coupled to our market-leading tech which accelerates growth. As a result, this timely collaboration provides another compelling case in point.

“We look forward to seeing how their games perform across a range of regions which, in certain instances, break new ground for them. QTech Games’ proprietary technology means we’re the only aggregator that is not just delivering fantastic games but also updating engaging in-game features and tools which are constantly being upgraded and refined.

“It’s helped us carve out a unique position in the aggregation space at a time when many others are struggling to adapt and positively delineate themselves in the changing landscape.”

The agreement also widens Fantasma Games’ global influence, opening up margin markets from Asia and Eastern Europe to Latin America, and driving new revenues. QTech’s partners will now benefit from Fantasma’s ‘slots beyond gambling’ ethos, said to improve player engagement for reliable retention in an increasingly competitive space.

Fredrik Johansson, founder and commercial director of Fantasma Games AB, added: “We’ve been reinvigorating the slots space with deeper gaming experiences for a while.

“Teaming up with QTech represents a great chance to widen our product distribution across emerging territories and deliver our fantastic content to a range of top-tier partners. Entering into this agreement is in line with our core strategy to maximise our reach.

“We can’t wait to see how our games will be received by new audiences. Exciting times ahead!”

Online casino content supplier Relax Gaming has further expanded its Silver Bullet partnership program, after adding Stockholm headquartered studio Fantasma Games.

Following the receival of a marketing lift courtesy of an agreement made with First Look Games last month, Fantasma is to make a selection of its slots content available to Relax, who will exclusively distribute selected games from the studio’s upcoming roadmap.

As a result of the collaboration Fantasma is to be provided with “a hassle-free route to market,” along with access to Relax Gaming’s market reach and client base.

“Partnering with Relax Gaming not only helps us to strengthen our market position and attract new players, but also provides the opportunity to work with knowledgeable people that want to create something unique with us,” noted Fredrik Johansson, CEO of Fantasma Games

“Our passion is to create slots that go beyond gambling and we would like as many operators and players to enjoy our gaming-inspired content.”

Launched in 2017, Fantasma becomes the latest addition to the Silver Bullet program, which Relax states it has been striving to continue to grow via the addition of a number of studios throughout the year.

Simon Hammon, Relax Gaming’s chief product officer, stated: “Working with studios like Fantasma Games, which has a strong focus on creating slots for the next generation of player, is why we created the Silver Bullet partnership program.

“The company has a series of exciting releases planned for the first quarter of 2020 and we are looking forward to kicking off the new year with the addition of its unique, mobile primed content to our rapidly growing distribution platform.”

Last week Relax debuted the launch of its second network branded game It’s Time!!, created in association with the mixed martial arts counterpart Bruce Buffer.

This saw the firm follow-up up last month’s Let’s Get Ready To Rumble offering, developed in conjunction with boxing announcer Michael Buffer.

Stockholm headquartered igaming studio Fantasma Games has entered an agreement to utilise the First Look Games platform, which enables a direct link to affiliates in order to maximise exposure of titles.

The partnership means that Fantasma can share up-to-date, accurate information and assets for its games, such as the Flower Fortunes – Megaways, directly to publishers.

This includes game information sheets and marketing assets such as logos, images and videos, which can then be downloaded by affiliates, for each individual game or in bulk, and be used to create high value content for readers.

Tom Galanis, founder of First Look Games, explained: “Fantasma Games is proving a huge hit with operators, especially since the launch of Flower Fortunes – Megaways, and we know affiliates will be eager to give the title due coverage”.

“Fantasma Games is a rising star in terms of game development, and we believe our tools and the exposure they deliver to casino players worldwide through affiliates will be vital in further increasing gameplay activity on Fantasma’s awesome slot titles”.

Furthermore, the firm is to also take advantage of First Look Games Premium, providing an opportunity to upload game information and assets two weeks prior to a game launch.

This can then be accessed by a select group of affiliates, giving them a ‘first look’ and time to create content for websites and marketing channels that will be ready to publish as soon as the game is live.

Fredrik Johansson, CEO of Fantasma Games, added: “We are confident that First Look Games will become an integral part of our overall strategy when marketing our games, especially when it comes to launching new games.

“First Look Games allows us to work more closely with affiliates and simplify their work. The product fits with our belief that working with Fantasma is easy and fun.”
