Grover Gaming has disclosed the receipt of electronic instant bingo approval in Ohio, which adds to the bingo manufacturers licence already boasted by the group within the state.

This comes after Grover reached an agreement to acquire the assets of electronic instant bingo gaming manufacturer NexLevel Gaming earlier in the month.

Following the transaction, the Greenville, North Carolina-based group stated that it had already applied for separate distributor approvals to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.

“We were already licensed as a bingo supply manufacturer in Ohio, but we had also applied for the separate distributor licence and the electronic instant bingo endorsement to each of those licences,” said Dorwin Howard, Compliance and Licensing Specialist at Grover.

“We expect to receive the distributor licence and endorsement for electronic instant bingo in the next couple days and that both will be effective on Friday.”

The Ohio Attorney General’s Office is in the process of licensing both manufacturers and distributors of electronic instant bingo devices, along with the charities and other nonprofit organisations that will use the devices in Ohio.

“That is great to have that endorsement but the really exciting news to me is that we have received full lab certification of our electronic instant bingo system for Ohio and our initial 17 games from Gaming Laboratories International,” commented Tyler LeMoine, Electronic Pull-Tab Product Manager for Grover.

“We have been working on that certification for the past couple of months and I’m thrilled to have that stamp of approval from GLI so that we can get to work.”

Adding: “The approved games are some of the best in the industry and we fully expect them to lead the pack in Ohio also. We are starting with Piggy’s Big Break, Great American Buffalo, Blue Ridge Buck Hunter, Red Hot Buffalo, King Kong, and a dozen more of our best performing games.

“We also will add other new, custom designed games on a regular basis so we can continue to do good work for the charities in Ohio.”

Grover Gaming develops software, game content, and gaming systems for lotteries and charitable gaming jurisdictions, and is licensed in Ohio, New Hampshire, Kentucky, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Washington, Louisiana, and Virginia, as well as Ontario, Canada.

The company boasts 360 employees across nine states, including a design studio in Wilmington, North Carolina and a software development centre in Chicago, Illinois.

“Even though we have added over 100 new employees in the past eighteen months, we are still making every effort to hire quality people every day,” said Garrett Blackwelder, president of Grover Gaming

Grover Gaming is toasting further success after announcing that it has surpassed $200m in funds raised for charities through their charitable gaming and fraternal partners across the United States.

These partners represent hundreds of charities, organisations, and fraternal groups throughout Kentucky, North Dakota, Virginia, New Hampshire, and Ohio who have utilised the company’s electronic pull-tab and electronic raffle devices to raise funds for their charitable causes.

Organisations including the Loyal Order of the Moose, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles use these funds to support and care for millions of Americans and Veterans through the establishment of hospitals, schools, retirement homes, children’s homes, and research centres.

“We are excited to surpass another important milestone for our charitable gaming partners,” Garrett Blackwelder, president of Grover Gaming, said of the landmark achievement.

“Although the past year has been difficult for many Americans, we are proud to help these charities and fraternal organisations secure the financial resources necessary to help support their local communities and fulfill their core missions during these difficult times.”

Grover Gaming, which develops software, game content and gaming systems for lotteries and charitable gaming jurisdictions, is licensed in Ohio, New Hampshire, Kentucky, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Washington, Virginia, and Ontario, Canada.

The company was recently recognised as one of the fastest growing private companies in the US for a second year in a row, achieving the rank of 194 on Inc Magazine’s annual list in 2020.

Their games are created at the group’s design and development facility in Greenville, North Carolina, by over 200 employees, including developers, artists, audio designers, programmers, and .net developers.

Electronic game design and software development organisation Grover Gaming could double in size during the next 18 months, as the firm prepares to embark upon a large-scale expansion strategy.

The Greenville, North Carolina, headquartered organisation currently boasts in excess of 150 employees, and as part of the next stage of its ongoing development its preparing to add at least another 100 to its roster during the next year and a half.

“Due to our relentless focus on the player, customer support, and product innovation, we have been tremendously successful over the past year and the coming year will be even better,” said Alan Mizelle, CFO of Grover Gaming.

Grover Gaming, recognised as one of the fastest-growing companies in America by Inc. magazine earlier this year, is said to be considering several possibilities for the necessary expansion of their facilities.

“Lotteries and charitable gaming markets in this country are experiencing a digital revolution, and Grover Gaming is uniquely poised to capitalise on this opportunity,” said Garrett Blackwelder, president of Grover Gaming.

“To do that, we will be more than doubling the size of our game studios over the next year. We have to further expand our staff and capabilities in our software engineering, 3-D game studios, and customer support divisions, as well as increase our ability to service future markets.

“We are already seeking additional professionals in our core areas. So, in order to accommodate the new employees, we are evaluating our options in the brick and mortar part of the equation.”

Grover Gaming develops software, game content and gaming systems for lotteries and charitable gaming jurisdictions, and is licensed in Ohio, New Hampshire, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Washington, Ontario and The Commonwealth’s of Virginia and Kentucky.

Earlier this year the firm announced that it has soared past the $100m mark in money raised for charity through its series of charitable gaming partners.

The huge sum has gone on to directly benefit those charities utilising Grover Gaming electronic charitable gaming systems in New Hampshire, Kentucky, Ohio, North Dakota and Virginia in the past five years.

Electronic gaming design and software development company Grover Gaming, has announced that it has surpassed a charitable milestone, with no plans in place to slow down the pace.

The Greenville, North Carolina headquartered firm has soared past the $100m mark in money raised for charity through its series of charitable gaming partners.

The huge sum has gone on to directly benefit those charities utilising Grover Gaming Electronic Charitable Gaming systems in New Hampshire, Kentucky, Ohio, North Dakota and Virginia in the past five years.

Those partner charitable and fraternal organisations represent hundreds of lodges and groups such as the Loyal Order of the Moose, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and many others.

Kevin Morse, director of market development for Grover Gaming, commented: “Electronic Raffle and Electronic Pull-Tab devices in these jurisdictions really enable these charities to flourish and provide for their core purposes, unlike those in states that do not allow electronic charitable gaming.”

Funds raised by partner firms through charitable gaming is used to benefit the communities they represent, and lessen the burden of those in need by funding family centers, hospitals, retirement homes, schools and other worthwhile causes.

“We are proud that our charitable partners have reached this incredible milestone,” explained Garrett Blackwelder, president of Grover Gaming.

“Seeing firsthand how their contributions benefit places like the Mooseheart Children’s School, the Eagles Diabetes Research Center, and so many others, keeps us committed to providing the most entertaining gaming experiences in the industry.”

Earlier this year Grover Gaming appointed Scott Henneman as its new vice-president of business development and governmental relations.

In the new role Henneman is to be charged with representing the company in its expanding role in electronic lottery and charitable gaming markets internationally, as it strives to deeps its roots in those two verticals, particularly within the US and Canada.
