Flutter Entertainment and Octoplay have launched another collaborative online casino title as Cod Chaos has been made available on PaddyPower, Betfair and Sky Vegas

The new Cod Chaos title signals the third collaborative slot release between Octoplay and Flutter Entertainment, strengthening the ties between the Malta-based supplier and the tier-one operator.

Joseph Williams, Gaming Content Manager at Sky Betting & Gaming, stated: “Octoplay has consistently impressed us with their ability to create games that truly connect with our audience.

“We enjoy working with partners who listen to what customer’s say and are responsive to their needs. Octoplay continues to deliver on this front and we are looking forward to doing more with them in the future.”

Launching Cod Chaos with Flutter will allow Octoplay to gain increased visibility in the UK market, extending the reach of its in-house content to Betfair, Paddy Power and Sky Vegas’ extensive player bases in the nation.

While the move sees Octoplay enhance its position in the UK, the igaming supplier also holds licences in “key jurisdictions” such as Slovakia, Sweden, Malta, Ontario, Greece and Romania.

Carl Ejlertsson, CEO at Octoplay, added: “Despite its size and global reach, working with Flutter has been an incredible experience, as they remain as nimble and innovative as ever.

“I think the collaboration between us has been so successful because we share the same values, building strong, lasting partnerships and leveraging each other’s strengths to provide value to the customer.

“What is most exciting however, is that we are only scratching the surface of what is possible between the two companies.”

Octoplay has grown its presence in the UK market after securing a content partnership with Sky Betting & Gaming.

The deal will integrate Octoplay’s full games portfolio into the operator’s offering via the supplier’s proprietary game server.

Sky Betting & Gaming’s parent company, Flutter Entertainment, already has a preexisting partnership with Octoplay, after securing a similar content deal for its Paddy Power and Betfair brands in December last year.

“Octoplay has quickly become a sought-after game provider and we are delighted to have added a selection of its Smash Games to our casino lobbies,” commented Philippa Ayres, Head of Content at Sky Betting and Gaming.

“These are highly engaging games that draw players in with their fun themes and action-packed gameplay. They also bring differentiation to our offering at a time when players are seeking more non-traditional slot content. This is a really strong partnership for us and Octoplay.”

Launching in 2022, Octoplay promises titles that deliver “explosive and rewarding gameplay” which push the “boundaries with features such as jackpot hunt”.

Ralitsa Georgieva, Director of Business Development at Octoplay, added: “Sky Betting and Gaming is a top-flight operator with a large and loyal player base that we hope will fall in love with our games.’

“The fact that we are able to partner with such an esteemed operator shows just how far Octoplay has come in a short space of time and proves that we are hitting the mark with the games we are developing and launching.

“This is another important deal for us as we continue on our mission to become the leading supplier of thrilling online casino content to operators in regulated markets.”

Octoplay has been awarded a supplier licence by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

With the AGCO approval, the online casino game development company can provide Ontario-licensed operators with its slot machine games suite, expanding upon its existing regulated licences in the UK, Malta and Sweden.

Martina Borg Stevens, Legal Director of Octoplay, commented: “We are thrilled to have secured this licence, being the fourth licence, we have acquired in 2023. We have been clear about our mission to obtain a licence in every single regulated market, and this is a testament to this.

“To be awarded a licence from such a prestigious regulator makes us feel incredibly proud and establishes a strong foothold in the North American market, which we look forward to building upon.”

Through a remote game server, operators in Ontario can gain access to Octoplay’s gaming catalogue of slots including titles such as Pearly Shores, Lolicat and Bullet Bonanza.

Octoplay’s expansion into Ontario is a continuation of its growth globally, as the game developer also recently secured a deal with Flutter Entertainment in the UK market, as well as with Superbet in Romania.

Nick Vuchev, Commercial Director of Octoplay, added: “Our slot games are in high demand among players in markets across the world. It’s no surprise that operators want to stock our titles, and that’s why we are working hard to secure licences and approvals in all regulated markets.

“Securing our Ontario licence is a major milestone in this journey, and we look forward to seeing our slots land in the lobbies of popular casino brands in Ontario for the first time.”

“We have that at Octoplay and use this understanding and experience to develop slot machines that players want to play.

“This is why we are able to provide our games to the biggest brands in the business, and we are proud to have welcomed Superbet to our growing line-up of operator partners.”

Octoplay has reiterated an ambition of “obtaining a licence in every single regulated market in the world” after reflecting on the receipt of a supplier permit from the Malta Gaming Authority.

As a result, the igaming developer’s game server is available to operators with a Malta licence, which would deliver the addition of a slots suite the currently boasts titles such as Pearly Shores, Lolicat, and Bullet Bonanza.

“Octoplay provides a suite of games that every operator in the industry wants, and we are working hard to ensure we can provide our content to operators in all regulated markets,” Carl Ejlertsson, Founder and CEO of Octoplay, said of the latest approval.

“Securing our Malta licence is a major step forward to achieving this, and we look forward to seeing our games land in the lobbies of popular online casino brands in markets across Europe and beyond.”

This latest addition for Octoplay, which was founded last year, complements a fellow licence held by the Swedish Gaming Authority and certifications in the UK and Romania, among others.

Last month, the developer also announced that it has secured ISO 27001 accreditation for meeting the highest possible standards for information security and data management.

Nick Vuchev, Commercial Director at Octoplay, said: “We are committed to obtaining a licence in every single regulated market in the world and securing our Malta licence has been a priority for us. This licence significantly increases the distribution of our games in core jurisdictions across the globe.

“We take great pride in our new licence from such a prestigious regulatory authority. This achievement enables operators licensed in Malta to present our suite of content to their players, giving them the opportunity to experience first-hand what all the excitement is about.”
